I'm a Microsoft MVP!

I was delighted to find out on April Fool's Day (?) that I have been awarded the 2008 Microsoft® MVP Award.

This is the email I received:

subject: [MVP] Congratulations! You have received the Microsoft MVP Award

Dear Mike Brind,

Congratulations! We are pleased to present you with the 2008 Microsoft® MVP Award! The MVP Award is our way to say thank you for promoting the spirit of community and improving people's lives and the industry's success every day. We appreciate your extraordinary efforts in ASP/ASP.NET technical communities during the past year.

I've only posted about it now because, a) I've been busy, and b) I wanted to wait until the promised Welcome Pack arrived to make sure there wasn't any prospect of a joke or mistake being made.

I'd like to thank those that nominated me. That includes Kevin Jones and at least one other mystery benefactor. (If you are that person and are reading this, then please reveal yourself to me, so I can thank you personally.)
